AR-NY Hosts Pet Event for Pocket Pooches

On Sunday October 16, 2011 Alfonsina Romero and Hillary Flowers hosted The Dog Collection Launch and Halloween Fashion Show to create awareness for Pocket Pooches, the first dog rescue and adoption store of its kind in New York City. The paw-ty took place at 579 6th ave, and also celebrated the launch of Hillary Flowers Pet Fashions division. Hampton’s Daze Magazine and Society’s Choice co-sponsored the event. 

Fashion models wore costumes matching the dog models as they strolled down the runway, and poised for the red carpet starting with Dr. Shireen Fernandez of Society’s Choice, concluding with Karen Biehl and Grace Forster of the TV reality series Doggie Moms. Performing artist Konatsu Yokokawa opened and closed the fashion show. 

Charlie, a five year old Pomeranian and chihuahua mix rescue was in attendance with a representative from Pocket Pooches. He is available for adoption and visits at the shop located at 748 9th Ave.

Complimentary cupcakes were provided to the audience by Vanity Sweets and  doggie treats by Spoil Me Rotten were being served to the doggies on a silver platter throughout the afternoon. 

The models wore outfits available at the Hillary Flowers shop, Konatsu Yokokawa wore dresses from the Anna Francesca Collection, also available at Hillary Flowers. Make-up was provided by Gabriella Katrina. The event took place at the 579 6th ave lounge, from 2pm-6pm.
