NEWH's "Toasty Tuesdays" April
affair took place at Hotel Indigo at 177 Ludlow. The event included an exciting
tour of the guestrooms and a peek inside a duplex penthouse. The hotel boasts
an industrial-street vibe from the lobby to the rooftop.
The art program by Lee Quinones incorporated many facets of the neighborhood into the public areas and guestrooms. The art at the elevator corridors at the
guestroom floors were actual billboards, and they seemed like guest interaction
with them was encouraged. The guestrooms were serene and minimal, featuring a
floor to ceiling framed mural and subtle graffiti reminders.
